Message :So I've been wondering what people do when they need to stop...
:Say you're going like 45 mph in 5th gear, and the light up ahead turns red... what's your process of stopping? Do you shift into 2nd gear and slowly let out the clutch? Or do you pop it in neutral and just use the brakes? Or do you downshift through every single gear while letting out the clutch?
:And when do you find yourself doubleclutching normally?
:ONE MORE! Say you need to take a corner on a track or something. Say you're in... 4th going like 50mph on the track and there's a corner up ahead. What do you do? Do you stay in 4th, brake before entering the corner, and then accelerate out when you get past the apex? Or do you downshift to 3rd sometime during the turn?
:These questions have just been making me curious and I'd like to see how everyone does this... since I'm still new to the whole driving and stuff

I usually try to slow down as far ahead of the light as possible so I don't have to brake hard. I usually just pop it in neutral and brake fairly lightly till I stop. If I get caught in a situation where I need to brake fairly hard, I brake moderately, as well as drop it down to second.
